Burger King Palermo on Via Roma 312: address, hours, menu and the other branches, plus why there's no Ham Holy Burger anywhere in Sicily.

The easiest Burger King to reach in central Palermo is at Via Roma 312, 90133 Palermo, on the ground floor of the historic Palazzo Monteleone, between Piazzetta Due Palme and Via Monteleone. It opened on Friday 20 June 2025. At launch it was announced as open from 11:30am to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and until 2am on Friday and Saturday. And if you came here looking for Ham Holy Burger in Palermo: there isn’t one. That chain only has restaurants in Milan and Piedmont, and one of the Milan restaurants happens to be on Via Palermo.

Burger King Via Roma: the Palazzo Monteleone flagship
If a visitor asks me which Burger King in Palermo to go to, I send them to Via Roma. It’s in the historic centre, on one of the city’s main streets, and it fills a historic palazzo, not a mall unit. Balarm puts it at about 500 m² across the ground floor of the Palazzo Monteleone, with about 80 seats.
Why a Burger King in a historic palazzo divides Palermo
The Via Roma opening is part of a push to bring life back to what was once one of Palermo’s main shopping streets. A regional law relaxed the floor-area limits on shops in the historic centre, and the large chain units followed. Balarm reports a split city: some welcome the investment, others want to protect the old town’s character. My view: a lit, busy ground floor beats a shuttered one. But a palazzo on Via Roma deserves better than a menu you could eat in any motorway services in Europe.

How to get to Burger King Via Roma
Burger King Via Roma is a few minutes’ walk from Palermo Centrale, the main railway station, and AMAT city buses run along Via Roma. I couldn’t verify exact bus lines or walking times, so check AMAT’s journey planner or a maps app on the day. I found no reliable information on parking.

Burger King Palermo opening hours
Burger King Via Roma was announced as open from 11:30am to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and from 11:30am to 2am on Friday and Saturday. These hours come from Balarm’s report on the June 2025 opening. That report prints the opening time as “11:39”, clearly a typo for 11:30, and the directory oraridiapertura24 says 11am.
Hours set at an opening often change within a year. Confirm on burgerking.it before a late-night trip. I’m not giving hours for the other Palermo branches because I found no reliable source for them.
Burger King Palermo menu: what you can order
Palermo’s branches serve Burger King Italy’s national menu, and I found no Sicilian or Palermo-only items. According to burgerking.it, the Italian range covers:

Burger King says it has been flame-grilling its burgers “since 1954”. The Whopper is the burger I judge any branch on. Vegetarian and plant-based options in Palermo
Yes, Burger King Palermo has plant-based burgers, part of the Plant-Based range on the Italian national menu. Salads and wraps add a few more meat-free choices. If you have allergies or a strict diet, check ingredients and allergens in the BK app or at the counter. I couldn’t confirm how the Palermo kitchens handle cross-contact.
How much does Burger King cost in Palermo?
I don’t have a verified Whopper meal price for Palermo yet. Burger King Italy doesn’t show prices on its website, and I found no dated price list for the Palermo branches. Other Burger King locations in Palermo
Via Roma isn’t Palermo’s only Burger King. It’s just the only one whose address and opening I could tie to a dated press report. When the Via Cavour restaurant opened on 14 December 2012, Balarm called it the chain’s sixth in the city. Directories list the branches below, but no official source confirms their current status. Check the locator before making the trip.

Via Cavour was the big one. Balarm reported that it opened on 14 December 2012 with nearly 700 m² (about 7,500 sq ft), more than 200 seats and 35 jobs, plus a “My BK” mural celebrating local culture. Directories now give the address as Via Cavour 108 rather than 112. I couldn’t settle which is right.

Burger King in Italy and Sicily: a short history
Burger King reached Italy through a deal with the motorway caterer Autogrill, signed in May 1999. According to Autogrill’s press release, the first Italian restaurant opened in Ferrara on 22 November 1999, in the Il Castello shopping centre. Sicily followed on 15 January 2001, with the island’s first Burger King on Piazza Università in central Catania (Autogrill). By the time Via Cavour opened in 2012, Palermo already had five other branches.

Is there a Ham Holy Burger in Palermo?
No, Ham Holy Burger has no restaurant in Palermo or anywhere else in Sicily. Its official site lists four restaurants, all in northern Italy:
- Milano Brera: Via Palermo 15, Milan
- Milano Marghera: Via Marghera 34, Milan
- Settimo Torinese: Torino Outlet Village
- Serravalle: Serravalle Designer Outlet
The mix-up almost certainly comes from that Milan address. Search “Ham Holy Burger Palermo” and you only get the Via Palermo restaurant in Milan. According to UrbanItaly, the chain builds its burgers around Piedmontese Fassona beef and buns baked daily. Scatti di Gusto reported in March 2020 that Franco Manna and Pippo Montella had taken it over. In Milan, go to Via Palermo. In Palermo, read on.
Alternatives to Burger King in central Palermo
Old Wild West is the other burger chain in the historic centre. It opened at Corso Vittorio Emanuele 259–263 on 31 August 2023, on the Cassaro, the oldest main street in the old town. According to LiveSicilia, the chain belongs to the Cigierre group and was founded near Udine in 2002. Its Palermo site has 500 m² inside plus a 40-seat terrace. At opening it was announced as open daily from noon to 4pm and 7pm to midnight, so check current hours.
Honestly, though, if you only have a couple of days in Palermo, I wouldn’t spend a meal on a chain. The city had a sesame bun long before the hamburger. Pani câ meusa is a soft vastedda roll filled with fried veal spleen and lung, and panelle (chickpea fritters) come in a bun too.
