Burger King Kolkata: All 11 Locations, Hours, Menu and Reviews
All 11 Burger King outlets in Kolkata with addresses, official hours, the beef-free menu, the ₹79 app deal and Google ratings, checked 9 October 2026.

Burger King Kolkata has 11 restaurants on the official Burger King India store locator, which I checked on 9 October 2026. If you only go to one, make it Burger King Dharmatala, in the New Empire Cinema Building in the New Market area. It opens at 10 am, closes at 11 pm every day, and scores 4.50/5 across 1,411 Google reviews aggregated by Yappe. In south Kolkata, head to Ballygunge on the 3rd floor of Quest Mall: the city’s first Burger King and its most-reviewed outlet. Two things to know before you go. No Kolkata branch stays open after 11 pm. And like every Burger King in India, the menu has no beef and no pork, so the Whopper comes in chicken, mutton or vegetarian versions.
Burger King Kolkata at a glance
Burger King runs 11 listed restaurants in Kolkata, from Dharmatala in the centre to New Town and Baguihati in the north-east. I built this guide from the official store locator and each official store page, then checked it against Yappe, EazyDiner and the Quest Mall website. Where sources disagree, I publish the official figure and say what the others claim.
- Number of restaurants: 11 on stores.burgerking.in, across two locator pages (9 October 2026).

Source: Burger King India store locator, Kolkata, pages 1 and 2, plus each official store page, checked 9 October 2026. Yappe lists 7 am to 11 pm for Dharmatala, Quest Mall and Acropolis. Nothing official backs that up, and no official page mentions breakfast, so I publish only the official hours. Mall outlets also depend on the mall’s own opening time: call ahead if you plan to arrive right at opening.
Bar chart of opening times at Burger King Kolkata: 3 outlets open at 10 am (Dharmatala, Sector 5, Baguihati), 8 open at 11 am, and all 11 close at 11 pm (official locator, 9 October 2026) (Chart: Burger Breton, data from Burger King India store locator (stores.burgerking.in), 9 October 2026)
Which Burger King in Kolkata should you choose?
Choose your Burger King in Kolkata by neighbourhood, not by branch: every outlet serves the same national menu. What changes is location, opening time and how crowded the mall food court gets.
- Central Kolkata, New Market, Esplanade and Park Street: Dharmatala.
- South Kolkata and Ballygunge: Quest Mall, Rashbehari Avenue (Lake Mall) or Pramatha Chowdhury Sarani in New Alipore.
- East Kolkata (Kasba): Acropolis Mall on Chakraborty Para Road.
- Salt Lake and the Sector 5 IT hub: Bidhannagar Sector 1 (City Centre) or Sector 5, which opens at 10 am.
- New Town and Rajarhat: New Town (Axis Mall) or Baguihati at Chinar Park.
- North Kolkata: Dunlop on BT Road or Dakshindari Road.
Burger King Dharmatala (New Market): the central pick
Burger King Dharmatala is the most central Burger King in Kolkata and the one I would send a first-time visitor to. It is on the ground floor of the New Empire Cinema Building, New Market Area, Dharmatala, Kolkata 700087; Yappe gives the street address as 1 Humayun Place. The official phone number is +91 89769 56731.
- Hours: 10 am to 11 pm, Monday to Sunday, per the official page.
- Services: dine-in, takeaway and delivery.
- Payment: cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UPI and online payment.
- Getting there: Yappe puts it about 330 m from Esplanade metro station. I have not measured that myself, but New Market is a short walk from Esplanade either way.
- Ratings: 4.5 on the official page and 4.50/5 across 1,411 Google reviews aggregated by Yappe.
Reviewers like the spacious dining room, the decor and the low prices. The recurring complaints are a “very normal” taste and prices that feel steep once you step outside the app deals. The official page also promises free parking. So does every Kolkata page, which looks like a template field to me, and around New Market I would not count on it.
Burger King Quest Mall, Ballygunge: the first in Kolkata
Burger King Ballygunge at Quest Mall is the city’s first Burger King and the most-reviewed one: 4.60/5 across 1,835 Google reviews, according to Yappe. It is at No 1, 3rd Floor, Quest Mall, Park Circus, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Ballygunge, Kolkata 700017. The official phone number is +91 86554 29351. Quest Mall’s website gives another, +91 79770 89349, plus the email questmall@burgerking.in. Which line actually rings in the restaurant? I could not confirm it, so try the official number first.
- Hours: 11 am to 11 pm daily, confirmed by both the official page and Quest Mall.
- Payment: the same options as Dharmatala, UPI included.
- Budget: about ₹500 for two, according to EazyDiner (4.2/5 on 29 reviews).
- Also listed by EazyDiner: delivery, takeaway, parking, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, no alcohol.
Google reviewers praise the food quality and the mall setting. They also report a slow queue at the order counter, online payments sometimes refused at the till and prices they find high. Paying by UPI? Keep cash or a card as a backup.

Burger King Acropolis Mall and the other top-rated outlets
Burger King at Acropolis Mall on Chakraborty Para Road has the best aggregated Google score in Kolkata: 4.70/5 across 904 reviews, according to Yappe. Reviewers praise the value for money, the shakes and the chicken meals. The criticisms are blunt: dry burgers, small portions and very slow service. In the south, Pramatha Chowdhury Sarani in New Alipore scores 4.40/5 across 709 Google reviews.
The official pages rate every Kolkata branch between 4.5 and 4.7, with 4.7 at Rashbehari Avenue, Acropolis, Dunlop, New Town and Baguihati. Those pages show no review count, so I trust the Google figures above more.

Burger King Kolkata menu: what you can order
The Burger King Kolkata menu is the national Indian menu, with no beef and no pork. The official Kolkata store pages split it into seven categories: Burgers & Wraps, Whopper, Chicken Wings, King Premium Burger, Sides & Beverages, BK Cafe and Desserts, where you will find the Choco Lava. I found no item exclusive to Kolkata or West Bengal. That is a missed opportunity in a city famous for its cutlets, the kabiraji cutlet first among them.

What is in a Whopper in India?
In India the Whopper is made with chicken, mutton or a vegetarian patty, never beef. Burger King launched in India in 2014 with chicken and mutton Whoppers and vegetarian burgers, including a paneer option, according to NPR. To see what the beef original contains, read Clara’s Whopper ingredients and copycat recipe.

Vegetarian burgers at Burger King Kolkata
Vegetarian burgers are central to Burger King in Kolkata, not a token option. The cheapest confirmed deal on the menu is vegetarian: two Crispy Veg Burgers. EazyDiner lists both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at Quest Mall. Reports from the 2014 launch described separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian kitchens. I found no current official statement on that, so if it matters to you, ask at the counter.

Burger King Kolkata menu prices
The only Burger King Kolkata price I could confirm from an official source is a deal: two Crispy Veg Burgers for ₹79 through the BK app, shown on the Dharmatala and Ballygunge pages on 9 October 2026. For a full meal, EazyDiner puts the average bill at about ₹500 for two at Quest Mall.
I am not publishing Whopper or combo prices. The only figures available come from unofficial price sites, and in my Burger King Chennai guide those sites contradicted each other by more than ₹170 for the same burger. For the live price at your outlet, check the BK app, Swiggy, Zomato or magicpin. The ₹79 deal fits the low-price push I described in the 2026 burger value wars.
Burger King Kolkata reviews: what customers say
Google ratings for Burger King Kolkata are high, between 4.40 and 4.70 out of 5 on the four outlets Yappe aggregates. Read the comments and the picture is more mixed. People like the prices, the space and the shakes. They complain about waiting times and dry burgers.
| Outlet | Google rating (via Yappe) | Number of reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Ballygunge (Quest Mall) | 4.60/5 | 1,835 |
| Dharmatala (New Market) | 4.50/5 | 1,411 |
| Chakraborty Para Road (Acropolis Mall) | 4.70/5 | 904 |
| Pramatha Chowdhury Sarani | 4.40/5 | 709 |
Burger King Kolkata Google ratings by outlet: Acropolis Mall 4.70 (904 reviews), Quest Mall 4.60 (1,835), Dharmatala 4.50 (1,411), Pramatha Chowdhury Sarani 4.40 (709), via Yappe, 9 October 2026 (Chart: Burger Breton, data from Yappe Google review aggregates, 9 October 2026)
| What reviewers like | What reviewers criticise |
|---|---|
| Affordable prices and value for money | Slow service and long waits at the counter |
| Spacious, well-decorated dining room (Dharmatala) | Dry burgers and small portions (Acropolis) |
| Shakes and chicken meals | Prices high without app offers |
| Convenient mall location (Quest Mall) | Online payment sometimes refused at the till (Quest Mall) |
I found no verified TripAdvisor or Yelp listing for the Kolkata restaurants. My verdict: Burger King in Kolkata is a cheap, predictable mall burger, not a destination. The stars are generous and the complaints about slow counters come up again and again. Use the app deals, order ahead if you can, and do not cross the city for a particular branch.
Delivery, payment and practical tips
You can order Burger King delivery in Kolkata through the BK app, and the restaurants also appear on Zomato, Swiggy and magicpin. Dharmatala and Quest Mall accept cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UPI and online payment.
- Foreign cards: the official pages list Visa, Mastercard and Amex but do not say whether foreign-issued cards work. Carry some cash.
- Late at night: every outlet closes at 11 pm. I found no official extended hours for festival nights such as Durga Puja, so assume the usual closing time.
- Airport: the locator lists no Burger King at Kolkata airport.
- Not confirmed: wheelchair access, reservations, drive-thru and breakfast. None appear on the official pages, so I do not claim them.
Burger King in Kolkata: a short history
Burger King arrived in Kolkata in late August or early September 2019, at Quest Mall in Ballygunge. The Kolkata Mail reported the announcement on 30 August 2019, with Burger King India CEO Rajeev Varman present. Kolkata was then the chain’s 46th Indian city, and Burger King had 212 restaurants in India.
Restaurant India noted on 9 September 2019 that Kolkata gave Burger King a presence in every Indian metro city. Varman said: “We have had an incredible journey in India and we are very happy to launch our operations in Kolkata today.”
The chain’s Indian story began on 9 November 2014 at Select Citywalk in south Delhi. The operator, now Restaurant Brands Asia, came under the control of Inspira Global on 7 July 2026, with a 41.78% stake and an investment of about ₹2,235 crore. It opened its 600th Indian Burger King in Delhi on 10 September 2026. For the chain’s latest launches worldwide, see new Burger King Whopper launches in 2026. For the wider story, read our history of the hamburger.

How I built this guide
Every address, phone number and opening time comes from the official Burger King India store locator and store pages, checked on 9 October 2026. Google ratings and review counts come from Yappe’s aggregates, and the budget and services at Quest Mall come from EazyDiner. Brand history comes from The Kolkata Mail, Restaurant India, NPR and Sahi. When sources conflicted on hours or phone numbers, I kept the official figure and flagged the difference. I left out unofficial menu prices and any service I could not confirm.
