MOS Burger Susukino: the Yonbangai branch in detail
The Yonbangai branch is the MOS Burger Susukino travelers are looking for. It sits between the Tanukikōji shopping arcade and the Susukino nightlife district. I pick it over the other Sapporo branches for its location. If you are staying in central Sapporo, you can walk there, and its three floors of seating give you the best odds of a free table when the arcade is busy.
Address and how to get there
Show this address to a taxi driver: 北海道札幌市中央区南3条西4丁目1. By subway, get off at Susukino on the Namboku line and walk about 96 m, or walk about 64 m from Tanukikōji station. There is no parking and no drive-through. Come on foot.

One detail I could not confirm: Retty places the store on the first floor of the Silver Building (シルバービル), but no second source repeats it. Look for the MOS sign, not the building name.
MOS Burger Sapporo opening hours
There is no single reliable set of hours for the Yonbangai branch. Four listings, three answers. NAVITIME, which publishes data supplied by MOS, and Hot Pepper both say 9:00 to 22:00 every day. Retty says 9:00 to 1:00 the next morning every day. Jalan says the store runs 24 hours from Tuesday to Saturday.
My advice: count on 9:00 to 22:00, the narrowest window, which also comes from MOS’s own data. Before a late-night visit, check the official MOS store locator at mos.jp/shop or the store’s Google listing. Hours are subject to change and were checked on October 8, 2026.
Delivery, takeout and payment
Yonbangai offers takeout and delivery, and its delivery is listed on Demae-can (出前館), one of Japan’s largest food delivery platforms. I could not load its Demae-can store page on October 8, 2026, and I could not verify MOS online ordering, Uber Eats or Wolt for this branch.
Payment is unclear, so carry some yen in cash. NAVITIME says credit cards are not accepted, while Retty mentions PayPay, a Japanese QR payment app. MOS has been rolling out card and cashless payment across its network, but no official listing I found confirms foreign cards at this branch. Wheelchair access and Wi-Fi are also unverified.

L sizes did not change in July. I could not verify current prices for rice burgers, MOS Chicken sets or the plant-based burgers, so check the menu board for those.

What to order at MOS Burger
The MOS Burger is the chain’s signature, and the Teriyaki Burger is the most Japanese thing on the standard menu. Both are made to order, which is what MOS is built on. If I could order only one, it would be the Teriyaki: it is ¥10 cheaper than the MOS Burger since July, and it gives you a flavor most Western chains do not have. For a side, MOS Chicken costs ¥340. The corn soup is the better deal: still ¥380, its price before the July rise.

MOS Burger rice burger
A rice burger replaces the bun with two pressed patties of rice. MOS launched its first one, the Tsukune Rice Burger, in 1987. Travelers rarely find anything like it at home. That is reason enough to order one, even before the MOS Burger. Its price after July 2026 is not verified.

MOS Burger vegetarian and plant-based options
MOS has a plant-based line built around the MOS PLANT-BASED GREEN BURGER, which contains no animal ingredients and none of the five gokun alliums (the pungent vegetables avoided in some Buddhist diets). It launched on March 26, 2020, at ¥538. A teriyaki version with a soy patty followed on September 22, 2021, at ¥580, according to MOS press releases.
Those are launch prices, not today’s prices. I could not confirm that either burger is on the menu in Sapporo in October 2026, so ask at the counter or check mos.jp before you go.

Hokkaidō sourcing and limited items
MOS uses Hokkaidō produce for regional limited menus, and the clearest recent example is the Hokkaidō Tomato Festival. From July 17 to 26, 2026, it sold two limited burgers at ¥920 each: the Tobikiri Ōmori Tomato Mos Vegetable Cheese Burger and the Tobikiri Ōmori Tomato Chili Burger.
The fresh tomatoes came from four Hokkaidō suppliers: Mos Farm Mukawa, JA Date, Air Water Chitose farm and JA Biratori, according to ASCII. That festival is over. I found no Hokkaidō-limited item confirmed for October 2026, so if you come across a regional special, consider it a lucky find.

MOS Burger Sapporo reviews
Reviews of MOS Burger in Sapporo are positive, but there are few of them for the central branch. On Retty, the Yonbangai branch has 6 reviews and an 81% recommendation rate (page updated April 7, 2026). That is too small a sample to mean much. I found no Google or Tabelog rating for it that I could verify, so I am not publishing one.
The best-reviewed branch I found is Toyohira: 3.8/5 on Google from 569 reviews and 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor from 8 reviews, as shown by the Wanderlog aggregator. Reviewers praise the staff, who are welcoming to foreign visitors too, a recently renovated dining room, burgers that look like the menu photos and meals around ¥1,000.
My method: I report a rating only with its platform, review count and check date, and I never give one branch’s score to another.
MOS Burger vs McDonald’s in Japan
MOS Burger differs from McDonald’s in two ways: it cooks burgers to order instead of preparing them ahead, and it is a Japanese chain built on Japanese flavors. You see it on the menu: teriyaki, rice burgers, Hokkaidō tomatoes in summer. The wait is a little longer, since your burger is assembled after you order. My view: if you only have room for one fast-food meal in Sapporo, make it MOS. The rice burger alone is worth the trip.

Atsushi Sakurada founded MOS Burger. The first, experimental store opened in 1972 in front of Narimasu station on the Tōbu Tōjō line, in Itabashi, Tokyo, and MOS Food Services was incorporated in July 1972. The chain expanded abroad from 1991, starting with Taiwan, then Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea and the Philippines.
Stock-market data sites, checked on October 8, 2026, put the network at about 1,310 restaurants in Japan and 411 abroad.
