Best burgers in Valencia: the Showdown burger at Hundred Burgers, a beef patty with melted cheddar and crispy bacon on a glossy brioche-style bun, with herbed fries

The best burger in Valencia is at Hundred Burgers, Calle San Vicente Mártir 44, in the old town (Ciutat Vella). Burgerdudes, the Swedish burger guide, has ranked it No. 1 in The World’s 25 Best Burgers three years running: 2024, 2025 and 2026. My next three picks are Soul Coffee Beer, No. 10 in the same 2026 list, then Jenkin’s, whose Emmy B was crowned best burger in Europe in 2023, and El Tarantín Chiflado, third at The Champions Burger Valencia in June 2026.

I’m Alex, restaurants editor at Burger Breton. This ranking is built from the record, not from my own plate: dated awards, menus with prices, Valencia’s food press and review-platform data, with every fact linked to its source and checked on 8 October 2026. Where I give an opinion, I tell you what it rests on. The method is at the end. Our other Valencia guides, including the Goiko Valencia guide, are on the Valencia burger restaurants hub.

1. Hundred Burgers: the world’s best burger, in Valencia

Hundred Burgers is the best burger restaurant in Valencia and, according to Burgerdudes, in the world. The Swedish guide put it at No. 1 in The World’s 25 Best Burgers 2026, published on 29 April 2026. That made three years in a row (Burgerdudes, Valencia Bonita). The title comes from Burgerdudes, not from a ‘Michelin burger guide’, whatever one Spanish listing claims.

Álex González-Urbón and Ezequiel Maldjian founded Hundred in Valencia in 2020. First they spent three years on the road, from 2017 to 2020: 22 countries, more than 300 burgers (Wikipedia, Visit València). Hundred is the heir to Singular&Co, whose Singular burger was named best burger in Spain in 2018.

The beef is Rubia Gallega, the Galician breed, from cattle Hundred raises and dry-ages itself. The bun is a house hybrid of brioche and Japanese milk bread, kneaded every morning and never frozen (Burgerdudes, Le Petit Journal). How long the aging lasts is another matter. Sources say 45, 60 and 120 days, so I won’t pick one.

  • Order: La Singular, a dry-aged beef patty with cheddar, barbecue sauce, caramelized onions, crispy bacon and camembert cream on a half-brioche bun (Ocio en Valencia, ViveCV). Recent press also mentions the Loser, the Satisfaction and the limited-edition Paul Finch, so check the menu online.
  • Price: burgers cost about €12–14; the average check is €20.
  • Address: Calle San Vicente Mártir 44, 46001 València (Ciutat Vella).
  • Hours: 1 pm to 11 pm. 100 seats. Phone +34 96 214 54 52.
  • Awards: 1 Sol Repsol, plus the Burgerdudes No. 1 spot in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Hundred is no longer only a founders’ project. In October 2025, Buenavista Equity Partners (formerly GED Capital) bought 80% of the company through its Buenavista Buy Out III fund, in a deal worth €25–30 million. The founders kept 20% and still run the business (El Confidencial Digital).

Local press also lists a Hundred at Carrer de Misser Mascó 22 (Exposició/Pla del Real) and a counter in the Mercabanyal food market on Carrer d’Eugènia Viñes in Cabanyal (Valencia Plaza). Sources disagree on how many Hundred locations Valencia has, from three to five. San Vicente Mártir 44 is the only one I can confirm.

My verdict: if you eat one burger in Valencia, make it La Singular at San Vicente Mártir. No other burger in the city has three straight world No. 1 spots behind it. And at €12–14 it costs no more than the challengers in this guide.

2. Soul Coffee Beer: Valencia’s other world top-25 burger

Soul Coffee Beer is the only other Valencia restaurant in Burgerdudes’ 2026 world top 25, at No. 10. The other two Spanish entries, Briochef (15th) and BDP Burger (21st), are in Madrid (Burgerdudes). And despite the name, Soul doesn’t serve coffee.

The beef is dry-aged for 45 days, and Burgerdudes gave Soul 5/5 after its visit on 2 September 2024 (Burgerdudes review). That’s why it sits second here: it’s the only Valencia spot besides Hundred in the 2026 world list.

  • Order: the Notorious, two 120 g (4.2 oz) patties with smoked cheddar, bacon, pickles and house sauce, €14.50. Or the Hey Ryan, a 200 g (7 oz) patty with smoked cheddar, bacon jam, fried onions and gochujang mayo, €15.50. Both come with fries.
  • Addresses: Carrer del Mestre Clavé 1, València (city center), and Carrer Sant Pasqual 12, Paiporta, a suburb south of the city.
  • Note: one Spanish guide places Soul ‘near Malvarrosa beach’. Neither address is anywhere near the beach.

3. Jenkin’s: home of Europe’s best burger of 2023

Jenkin’s serves the Emmy B, crowned best burger in Europe 2023 at The Champions Burger international final in Barcelona in October 2023 (Valencia Bonita, eatjenkins.com). Of the eight burgers in this guide, it’s the only one with a continental title, and you can eat it at three addresses across the city.

The Emmy B stacks 180 g (6.3 oz) of Black Angus beef, smoked cheddar, caramelized onions, bacon, pickles and a house Korean sauce on a glazed bun. You’ll also read that Jenkin’s won best burger in Spain in 2022 or 2023. Only the Europe 2023 title has two sources behind it, so it’s the only one I count.

  • Order: the Emmy B.
  • Gran Vía: Gran Vía Marqués del Túria 59, 46004 València (Eixample).
  • Campanar: Av. de les Corts Valencianes 20, 46015 València.
  • Algirós: Av. Blasco Ibáñez 115, 46022 València.
  • Also: the same team runs the Taller de Carnes concept in Cabanyal. The locations in Ourense and L’Eliana are outside Valencia.

4. El Tarantín Chiflado: the Champions Burger local favorite

El Tarantín Chiflado was the best-placed Valencia restaurant at The Champions Burger Valencia 2026. Its La Más Mejor took third place and the local favorite award at Mestalla in June 2026: Japanese wagyu with a fried bomb of smoked cheese, on a cheese-crusted brioche (ESdiario).

Alexander Rodríguez and his wife, who are from Venezuela, founded the restaurant. In 2021, Valencia Plaza reported that they dry-aged Spanish beef for 35 days and hadn’t touched the Chiflada recipe since opening day (Valencia Plaza). Come here for theater on the plate, not restraint.

  • Order: the Chiflada, topped with raclette that’s flambéed at your table. Or the Toque de Queda: a double dry-aged patty between two donut-waffles with raclette, cheddar and salted caramel.
  • Price: about €24 average check (Valencia Bonita, 2021, so expect it to be higher now).
  • Address: Avenida de Pío XII 19, València (Campanar). Phone +34 961 949 604.
  • Source: Valencia Bonita.

5. Beak & Trotter: donut burgers and local bakery buns in Cánovas

Beak & Trotter (BBQ & Beer Shack) is the donut-burger address in Cánovas, rated 8.2/10 across about 3,013 reviews that Gastroranking aggregates from three platforms (Gastroranking). It opened on Christmas Day 2017.

The buns come from Les Netes, a bakery in Nazaret. In 2026 the kitchen took the FOMO to the smash stage of The Champions Burger at Mestalla: a black glazed brioche, a smashed ribeye patty, carbonara sauce and almond praline (ESdiario). Back in 2021, Joe Burger put it in his Valencia top three for Valencia Plaza, next to Hundred and Tarantín (Valencia Plaza).

  • Order: the donut burger.
  • Address: Calle Conde de Altea 30-32, València (Cánovas, Eixample). Phone +34 684 71 54 29.
  • Link: beakandtrotter.com.

6. One Burger: the laundromat burger in Pla del Real

One Burger is Valencia’s most unusual burger joint: it’s decked out as a laundromat, and you collect your burger from the drum of a washing machine. It began as a dark kitchen in June 2022 and opened its doors in December 2022. It belongs to Grupo Voltereta, founded by Pablo and Gonzalo Calvo and Carlos Vera (Valencia Plaza).

The setting is a gimmick. The burger isn’t. There’s only one on the menu: two 90 g (3.2 oz) patties of Rubia Gallega dry-aged for 30 days, with cheddar, pickle-and-onion relish, crispy bacon and secret Rico sauce on brioche. Valencia Plaza counted about 250 sold a day.

  • Address: Carrer de Misser Mascó 42, 46010 València (Pla del Real).

7. Joey’s Burger: an evenings-only spot in Patraix

Joey’s Burger is a neighborhood burger joint in Patraix, rated 4.8/5 on 244 reviews according to intravel (intravel). It opens only in the evening, Wednesday to Sunday. Monday and Tuesday, the door stays shut.

8. Circo Burger: a budget pick in Algirós and Eixample

Circo Burger is the cheapest place in this guide with a published price: €12–16 per person, according to Gastroranking. It has two Valencia locations, and the chain also runs restaurants in Elche and Benidorm (Gastroranking Serpis, Gastroranking Gran Vía).

  • Algirós: Carrer del Serpis 16, València.
  • Eixample: Gran Vía del Marqués del Túria, València.

Valencia burger prices compared: average spend per person is €12–16 at Circo Burger, about €20 at Hundred Burgers (Visit València) and about €24 at El Tarantín Chiflado (Valencia Bonita, 2021 figure) (Chart: Burger Breton, data from Gastroranking, Visit València and Valencia Bonita; rendered with QuickChart, 1600×800)

Why this guide ranks eight burger joints, not ten

I publish eight because only eight Valencia burger joints passed my two-source check. Five more candidates each rest on a single source, so they’re on my watchlist rather than in the ranking: Antojo Burger (Carrer del Comte d’Altea 40), Smash & Go (Av. Regne de València 16), Moflete by Joe Burger, Lamburguesa and Schuessler (Carrer de Sueca 4, Russafa). I’ll add them once a second source confirms them.

The Champions Burger Valencia: 2026 results

The Champions Burger Valencia 2026 ran at Camp de Mestalla from 11 to 29 June 2026, with 23 burger joints competing. The public voted on five criteria: bun, meat, combination, presentation and originality (El Debate).

La Gladiadora from The Vicbros Burger (Alicante) won. Godeo’s Royale Gold 2.0 (Córdoba) came second, and El Tarantín Chiflado’s La Más Mejor third (ESdiario). Godeo then won best burger in Spain 2026 in Leganés in September (Leganés Activo). Neither of the top two is from Valencia, so Tarantín’s third place is the city’s best result.

The Champions Burger Valencia 2026 podium: 1st La Gladiadora (The Vicbros Burger, Alicante), 2nd Royale Gold 2.0 (Godeo, Córdoba), 3rd La Más Mejor (El Tarantín Chiflado, Valencia), the city’s best result (Chart: Burger Breton, data from ESdiario (29 June 2026); rendered with QuickChart, 1600×900)

How I ranked Valencia’s burger restaurants

I ranked these restaurants by verifiable awards first, then local press, then review data. Every fact was checked on 8 October 2026, against two sources wherever two existed. The awards I counted are the Burgerdudes World’s 25 Best Burgers 2026, the results of The Champions Burger Valencia (June 2026) and The Champions Burger Europe 2023. Local press means Valencia Plaza, Valencia Bonita, ESdiario and Visit València, the city tourist board.

Review figures come from aggregators (Gastroranking, intravel), not from Google, and I label them that way. I couldn’t find a dated 2026 source confirming that Joey’s Burger, Circo, One Burger and Soul’s Mestre Clavé location are still open. Beak & Trotter competed at Mestalla in summer 2026. Check Google Maps for hours before you go. Where sources disagree, I give the range or leave the number out rather than guess.
