Madero Curitiba is not one restaurant but 24 of them: that is how many Madero locations the chain’s official website lists, as of October 9, 2026, in the city where it began. My pick for a sit-down burger is Madero Steak House Batel (R. Bispo Dom José, 2377), rated 4.6/5 on Google from 4,675 reviews, the best score I could verify. For wine and steak, book Madero Prime Steak House in the historic center. With kids, go to Madero Steak House Comendador and its Maderoland play area. The signature cheeseburger has a national reference price of R$54, though what a given Curitiba location charges may differ.

Madero in Curitiba: the city where it all started

Curitiba is Madero’s home town. Chef Junior Durski opened the first Madero Steak House there on June 7, 2005, and the group is still based in Paraná (Grupo Madero corporate profile).

The first restaurant opened in Curitiba’s historic center, where Madero Prime Steak House stands today. Madero doesn’t say whether Prime occupies the original 2005 premises, and I couldn’t confirm it.

Then came the expansion. As of March 31, 2026, Grupo Madero ran 355 restaurants on 283 multi-brand sites across Brazil. Its brands are Madero (Steak House and Burger), Jeronimo (Smash Burger and Track) and the hybrid Madero & Jeronimo, which the group dates to 2024 (Grupo Madero).

Curitiba also launched the group’s second brand. Jeronimo, the fast-casual burger line, started in 2017, and its first restaurant opened at Shopping Estação in Curitiba (Grupo Madero, Guia da Semana).

Most of the food comes from one place. The group’s central kitchen in Ponta Grossa, about two hours west of Curitiba in Paraná, has run since 2015. It covers 32,408 m² (about 349,000 sq ft) in four production units: meat, sauces and desserts, charcuterie and smoked goods, and burgers and bakery. It makes or sources more than 96% of the food served in the restaurants and includes an organic farm.

Batel is the best all-round pick, Prime is for a special night out, and Comendador is for families. Hours and phone numbers below come from Madero’s official location pages, checked on October 9, 2026.

Madero Prime Steak House (São Francisco)

Madero Prime Steak House is Madero’s upscale format, at Av. Jaime Reis, 262, in the São Francisco district of Curitiba’s historic center. It opens every day from 11:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and takes reservations. The official page highlights a wine list from “one of the largest award-winning cellars in Brazil.” It offers dine-in with a digital menu and takes cards (official page).

Madero Steak House Batel

Madero Steak House Batel is the best-rated Madero in Curitiba that I could verify: 4.6/5 on Google from 4,675 reviews and 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor from 694 reviews, as relayed by Wanderlog. It is at R. Bispo Dom José, 2377, in Batel, the city’s upscale dining district.

The dining room and takeout counter open Sunday to Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 11:00 p.m. Delivery runs Sunday to Thursday until 10:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 10:30 p.m. You can reserve, but groups are only seated once at least half the party has arrived (official page).

Madero Steak House Comendador (Centro)

Madero Steak House Comendador is the family choice: it is downtown at R. Comendador Araújo, 152, and has the Maderoland kids’ area. Its hours match Batel’s, delivery included, and it takes reservations (official page).

Maderoland opens Monday to Thursday from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m., Friday from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m., and on weekends and public holidays from 11:45 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Brazilian travel blog Esse Mundo É Nosso describes the dining room as a recreated vila with a little street, terrace-style tables, a wine cellar and a play area (October 14, 2024 post).

All 24 Madero restaurants in Curitiba by format

Madero’s official site lists 24 Madero locations in Curitiba across six formats, from full-service steak houses to a shipping-container counter. No other guide I found sorts them by format, so here is the full list as of October 9, 2026 (source).

Older listings on Guia da Semana and Yelp mention names such as “Madero Burger e Grill Cabral” and “Madero Relógio das Flores.” They do not appear under those names on Madero’s current list, so don’t count on them being open.

Other useful Madero locations: Pátio Batel, Shopping Estação and Shopping Curitiba

Three mall locations are worth knowing for their hours or reviews.

  • Madero Steak House Pátio Batel: Av. do Batel, 1868, Shopping Pátio Batel, 80420-090. Phone +55 41 3512-1899. Same dining hours as Batel, with reservations, takeout and delivery (official page). Rated 4.5/5 on Google (1,298 reviews) and 4.0/5 on TripAdvisor (69 reviews) via Wanderlog.
  • Madero Steak House Shopping Estação: Av. Sete de Setembro, 2775, Rebouças, 80230-010. Phone +55 41 3012-0769. The earliest opening of the three: the dining room opens at 11:00 a.m. daily and closes at 10:00 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Delivery runs daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Reservations accepted (official page).
  • Madero Burger Shopping Curitiba: R. Brigadeiro Franco, 2300, Centro, 80250-030. Phone +55 41 3012-0784. Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with delivery until 9:45 p.m. No reservations, first come first served, and a simplified menu (official page).

Madero vs Jeronimo: what the hybrid format changes

Madero sells a thick, table-service cheeseburger. Jeronimo is the group’s fast-casual smash burger brand, and Madero & Jeronimo serves both under one roof. In June 2025 the group scaled the hybrid up, converting 14 restaurants in São Paulo state and Paraná, two of them in Curitiba. The menu combines Madero cheeseburgers and Jeronimo smash burgers with sides, salads, house-made desserts and shakes (Mercado & Consumo). Curitiba now has six Madero & Jeronimo locations on the official list.

Madero Curitiba menu and prices

The Madero cheeseburger is the dish to order, and its national reference price is R$54.00. That figure comes from a Forbes Brasil ranking built on data from ABF, the Brazilian Franchising Association, published March 6, 2026 (Portal Tela). It is not a price from a Curitiba menu, and the price you pay at a given location or on a delivery app may differ.

The basic Cheeseburger Madero has a 180 g (6.3 oz) patty, organic lettuce and tomato, cheddar-style cheese and house mayonnaise. It is the same burger I described in our guide to Madero in Fortaleza.

The Curitiba Steak House pages feature three signature dishes:

  • Cheeseburger Madero, the burger that made the chain’s name.
  • L’Entrecôte, the steak-house side of the menu.
  • Petit Gâteau de Doce de Leite, a molten cake made with Brazilian doce de leite, a caramelized milk spread.

Each format has its own menu. Madero publishes separate PDF menus for the Steakhouse, Container, Prime and Madero + Jeronimo formats in Portuguese and English, plus a nutrition and allergen chart (official menus). If you don’t read Portuguese, download the English PDF before you go.

Ignore old blog prices. One widely shared post, republished in 2024, still lists a 130 g cheeseburger at R$18.90. Those prices are clearly years out of date.

Madero Curitiba reviews: what diners say on Google and TripAdvisor

Diners rate Madero’s best Curitiba locations between 4.5 and 4.6 out of 5 on Google. They praise the burgers and the setting and complain about slow service and order mistakes. I could only verify ratings for two locations, Batel and Pátio Batel, through Wanderlog. TripAdvisor and Yelp blocked direct access, so I give no rating for the others.

Location Google TripAdvisor Recurring praise Recurring complaints
Steak House Batel 4.6/5 (4,675 reviews) 4.5/5 (694 reviews) Burgers called among Brazil’s best, filet mignon burger, pleasant setting Wrong orders, forgotten drinks, slow table service
Steak House Pátio Batel 4.5/5 (1,298 reviews) 4.0/5 (69 reviews) Friendly, patient staff even with a language barrier; burgers and lamb None recurring in the verified sources

Madero Curitiba reviews compared: Steak House Batel scores 4.6/5 on Google (4,675 reviews) and 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor (694). Pátio Batel scores 4.5/5 on Google (1,298) and 4.0/5 on TripAdvisor (69). Ratings as shown on Wanderlog, October 9, 2026. (Chart: Burger Breton, CC BY 4.0, data from Google and TripAdvisor via Wanderlog (checked 2026-10-09), rendered with QuickChart (500×300 PNG; export to local WebP))

Methodology. Ratings come from Google and TripAdvisor as shown on Wanderlog on October 9, 2026. Review themes are the points that recur across those reviews. Addresses, phone numbers and hours come only from Madero’s official location pages, checked the same day. Where sources disagreed on a phone number, I used Madero’s.

The Esse Mundo É Nosso blog adds a first-hand view of the Comendador location. It praised a well-cooked patty and criticized a crusty bun that crumbles as you eat (source).

Is the Madero burger worth the trip?

Yes, if you want the burger that shaped Brazil’s premium chain market, in the city where it started. A 4.6/5 average held across more than 4,600 Google reviews is hard to fake. Don’t expect fast food, though. Slow table service is the complaint that keeps coming back at Batel, so skip it when you’re short on time and go to a Madero Burger counter instead. For a wider view of Brazil’s burger scene, compare it with our ranking of the best burgers in São Paulo.

Practical information: payment, reservations and delivery

Every Madero in Curitiba that I checked takes the major credit cards and Brazilian meal vouchers. Most Steak House locations take reservations, and the Burger format does not.

  • Payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Elo and Maestro, plus the Alelo, Sodexo, Ticket and VR meal vouchers. The list is the same on the Batel, Comendador, Pátio Batel, Shopping Estação and Burger Shopping Curitiba pages.
  • Reservations: possible at Prime, Batel, Comendador, Pátio Batel and Shopping Estação. Madero Burger Shopping Curitiba does not take bookings.
  • Delivery and takeout: offered by Batel, Comendador, Pátio Batel, Shopping Estação and Burger Shopping Curitiba. Delivery usually stops 15 to 30 minutes before the dining room closes; at Shopping Estação it ends at 9:30 p.m. every day.
  • Accessibility, parking and transit: Madero’s official pages don’t cover them. Call the location before you go.
