Six Burger King branches in Accra, from Accra Mall to Haatso and Lakeside: addresses, hours, drive-thru, delivery, ratings and who runs the franchise.

Burger King has at least six branches in Greater Accra: Accra Mall on the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange, Palace Mall on Spintex Road, the Shell station on Airport Bypass Road, Center Point Mall in Haatso (Atomic), Lakeside Community 8 in Nanakrom and a branch in Dansoman. For a drive-thru or a late meal, go to Shell Airport, which the Burger King Ghana store locator lists as open until midnight every day. Accra Mall is where it all started, on 14 May 2018. With 1,304 Google reviews, it is still the most reviewed branch in the city. I checked every fact below on 2 November 2026 and name the source for each one. I have not eaten at these branches, so read this as a guide, not a review.
Burger King Accra at a glance
Burger King in Ghana is a franchise. It grew from one restaurant in 2018 to at least ten across the country by March 2026, and six of them are documented in Accra.
- First restaurant in Ghana: Accra Mall, opened 14 May 2018 by SIA QSR Ghana LTD.
- Branches in Ghana: eight by 17 December 2025, when Center Point Mall in Haatso opened. Lakeside followed in January 2026 and Kumasi in March 2026, for at least ten.
- Current operator: Quick Angels Limited runs the recent openings.
- Drive-thru: Shell Airport, Airport Bypass Road, according to the store locator. A June 2026 photo shows another at a Shell station near Dansoman.
- Latest closing time: Shell Airport, midnight every day (store locator).
- Delivery: Glovo. The store locator also lists Jumia Food, but Jumia closed that service in December 2023.
- Currency: Ghanaian cedi (GHS).
Burger King Ghana branches in Accra: addresses and opening hours
The Burger King Ghana store locator gives addresses and hours for three Accra branches: Accra Mall, Palace Mall and Shell Airport. News reports cover the newer Haatso and Lakeside restaurants. The locator at bk.uwapi.io may not be official, and other sources give different hours, so check Google Maps before a late visit. Directories still say the chain has “only three restaurants in Accra”. That has been wrong since the 2025–2026 openings.

Burger King Accra Mall (Tetteh Quarshie)
Burger King Accra Mall is at C11 Tetteh Quarshie Interchange, Spintex Road, on the second level of the mall (plus code JRCG+RPW). The store locator lists it as open 10am to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 11pm Friday to Sunday. Wanderlog has 9am to 10pm on Saturdays.
This is where the brand started in Ghana. When it opened in May 2018, the restaurant had 340 m² of floor space, 120 seats, a children’s play area and free Wi-Fi. It created 30 jobs, and the launch release said its onions, lettuce and tomatoes came from local farms.

Burger King Palace Mall (Spintex Road)
Burger King Palace Mall is in Palace Shopping Mall (Palms Square), at the Flower Roundabout on Spintex Road. Wanderlog gives the address as 5 Spintex Rd. The store locator and Coupons Ghana list it as open 10am to 10pm every day, while Wanderlog says 6am to midnight. A gap that wide means one source is stale. Confirm before you go.
Reviewers mention seating inside and on a terrace, plus kids’ meals. On the Spintex side of the city, it’s the easy choice.
Burger King Shell Airport (Airport Bypass Road)
Burger King Shell Airport, on Airport Bypass Road, is the only Accra branch whose drive-thru the store locator documents. The locator lists it as open 10am to midnight every day, and it has a “Play King” play area.
Servair opened it in mid-September 2018 with Vivo Energy Ghana. According to the CCI France Ghana report, it was the first Burger King anywhere inside a Shell station. It covers 390 m² over two floors, opened with 140 seats and 38 staff, and was Servair’s 13th Burger King in Africa.
Burger King Haatso (Center Point Mall, Atomic)
Burger King Haatso is in Center Point Mall in the Atomic area of north Accra. Quick Angels Limited opened it on 17 December 2025. “This is our eighth branch in Ghana,” CEO Emmanuel Lamptey said at the opening, according to MyJoyOnline. He named Lakeside Estate, Koforidua and Kumasi as the next sites. None of the sources I checked published its opening hours.
Burger King Lakeside (Community 8, Nanakrom)
Burger King Lakeside opened on 24 January 2026 in Lakeside Community 8, Nanakrom, and serves Nsuonano, Ashaley Botwe and School Junction. It offers dine-in, takeaway and delivery, next door to Chickenman Pizzaman and Pinkberry. RNAQ Holdings, Quick Angels and Bills Micro Credit are behind the project, according to MyJoyOnline and News Ghana.
Burger King Dansoman
A Burger King at “Dansoman control” in west Accra appears in the Coupons Ghana directory, open 10am to 10pm every day. No official channel lists it. The best evidence that it is trading is a photo on Wikimedia Commons, taken on 26 June 2026 and geotagged near Dansoman. It shows a Burger King with a “Drive Thru” sign next to the Shell Select shop of a Shell station. I take that as a strong sign the branch exists, probably with a drive-thru, but check Google Maps before you make the trip.
Which Burger King in Accra should you choose?
Choose Shell Airport for a drive-thru or a meal after 10pm, Accra Mall if you are shopping with children, and Haatso or Lakeside if you are staying in north or east Accra. With one evening in the city, I would pick Shell Airport. It has the longest documented hours, a drive-thru and a play area, and it sits on the bypass road by Kotoka airport.

Burger King Accra menu and prices
The Burger King menu in Accra is built around the flame-grilled Whopper. Glovo’s Accra page features the Triple Whopper, 6- and 12-piece wing meals, a 12-piece nugget meal, Extra Hot Salsa sauce and the Delight Salad. I could not find a single reliable, dated price in cedis, so I am not printing one. A made-up price is worse than none.
The problem is the sources. Glovo hides prices on its public page. Burgerkinggh.com, which looks unofficial, uses generic names such as “Whopper-Style Meal”. Other sites copy US dollar prices from the American menu or show cedi prices that are years old, and some content farms simply invent price ranges. For a real figure, check the menu on Glovo when you order, or read the board at the counter.
For context, News Ghana reports KFC Ghana prices of 71 GHS for its Zinger and Colonel burgers on their own and 95 GHS as a meal, but the article has no visible date.

Whopper Wednesday in Ghana
Whopper Wednesday is Burger King Ghana’s weekly midweek deal: a bundle of two burgers, fries and drinks, announced by the official @BurgerKingGhana account on X. The post that gives the price has no date I could read, so I can’t confirm what it costs now. Check @BurgerKingGhana before you go. Palace Mall reviewers name the Wednesday promotions as a reason to visit.
Vegetarian and halal options at Burger King Accra
The only meat-free choice I could confirm is the Delight Salad on Glovo, which can be ordered without meat. No source confirms a veggie burger or halal certification at the Accra branches, so ask at the counter if either matters to you.

Burger King Accra Mall rates 4.2/5 on Google from 1,304 reviews and 3.9/5 on TripAdvisor from 353 reviews. Palace Mall rates 4.2/5 on Google from 302 reviews. I read these on Wanderlog on 2 November 2026, but Wanderlog does not say when it collected them, and TripAdvisor blocked my direct check. Treat them as a guide, not live scores.

- Palace Mall, what people like: energetic staff, hot food, the Wednesday deals, kids’ meals and the choice of indoor or terrace seating.
- Palace Mall, recurring complaints: occasional long waits and uneven professionalism from staff.
My read: the complaints are mostly about staffing and waits. On the food side, only the fries draw repeated criticism.
How I compiled this: I collected ratings and review themes for each branch from the platforms named above and kept only the points that come up repeatedly. I did not give my own rating, because a rating needs a visit and this guide is built from sources.
Burger King in Ghana: history and franchise
Burger King entered Ghana in May 2018 through a franchise with SIA QSR Ghana LTD, and Servair opened a second Accra restaurant that September. Since 2025, Quick Angels Limited has led the chain’s expansion in Ghana.
The plan was announced in February 2018, when Ghana was set to become the franchise’s second market in West Africa, according to Trendtype. Accra Mall opened on 14 May 2018 and Shell Airport four months later.
Quick Angels Limited belongs to RNAQ Holdings, chaired by its founder Richard Nii Armah Quaye, who says he holds the Burger King franchise in Ghana. I found no date or terms for the handover from the 2018 operators. What is on record is the pace since then. Haatso was the eighth branch in Ghana in December 2025, Lakeside opened in January 2026, and on 7 March 2026 Kumasi got its first Burger King, in Ahodwo. Burger King or KFC in Accra?
KFC has the bigger network in Ghana: 38 restaurants nationwide according to News Ghana, against at least ten for Burger King. Go to Burger King for a flame-grilled beef burger. KFC is built around fried chicken burgers such as the Zinger.
The global brands do not own the local fast-food scene. MyJoyOnline describes Pizzaman-Chickenman as the leader of Ghana’s fast-food market, and Nigeria’s Chicken Republic also trades in Accra.
