Burger Boutique Jeddah is the Jeddah branch of a Kuwaiti gourmet burger brand, not a local Saudi concept. You will find it at City Yard on Abdul Maqsud Khojah Street in the Ar Rawdah district, phone +966 53 505 5201. Basil Al Salem created the brand in 2005. He is the founder and group CEO of the Kuwaiti restaurant group Gastronomica. This guide covers the founder, the menu and the branch details I could and could not verify as of 8 October 2026.

Burger Boutique Jeddah at a glance

Burger Boutique’s Jeddah branch is at City Yard, Abdul Maqsud Khojah St, Ar Rawdah District. It belongs to a Gastronomica network that spans Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.

Burger Boutique founder Basil Al Salem: from finance to burgers

Basil Al Salem is a Kuwaiti who studied finance, worked in asset management and founded Gastronomica in Kuwait in 2003. You will also see his name spelled Basil Alsalem or Bassel Al Salim. It is the same man. A 2017 Entrepreneur Middle East profile says he came home from the US in 1999. He then managed assets for a regional real estate company and for the Kuwait Investment Authority before he moved into restaurants. Only that one interview tells the career story, so read it as his own account.

Forbes Middle East put him on its 2024 list of “20 Leaders Behind Luxury Dining in the Middle East”. Gastronomica’s website now lists 15 brands across six GCC markets, among them OFK, White Robata, Midar, Burger Boutique, Slider Station, B+F, Milk Bun and Republique.

The “Total Dining Experience” idea

Al Salem’s stated philosophy is the “Total Dining Experience” (TDE): a meal should work on all five senses, not just taste. Gastronomica puts it on its home page, and he explained it to Entrepreneur Middle East in 2017. It shows in the group’s spending: the interiors get as much attention as the recipes.

How Burger Boutique started in Kuwait in 2005

Burger Boutique opened in Kuwait in 2005 as Gastronomica’s first restaurant, under the name “B+F Burger Boutique”. Al Salem told Entrepreneur Middle East why: after years in America, he could not find a good burger back home. That puts the brand inside a longer story, the American gourmet burger moving abroad, which I trace in our history of the hamburger.

Francorp ME markets the brand’s franchise and calls Burger Boutique a pioneer of the region’s gourmet burger movement. Its profile claims 15+ units in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman. That is franchise sales copy. I quote it, but I would not build on it.

Gastronomica’s size changes with who is counting and when, so every figure below carries its date and source.

Burger Boutique menu: burgers, fries and the Solar Gravity

The Burger Boutique menu covers burgers, sliders, loaded fries, salads and desserts, all made from scratch according to Francorp ME. Its signature items are the Solar Gravity Burger, the Sriracha Honey Shrimp and the Commando Fries.

For Jeddah, DestinationKSA’s August 2025 guide adds Southern Fried Chicken Bites, Sticky Maple Buffalo Wings and several loaded fries. It calls the room “chic”.

What is the Solar Gravity burger?

The Solar Gravity is Burger Boutique’s best-known burger, but no official or delivery menu confirmed its build or its Jeddah price. The one description I found sits on a user-generated aggregator with no city attached. I would rather print nothing than print a SAR figure I cannot stand behind. Check the menu in store or in the delivery app before you order.

Grass-fed beef and lighter options: a 2020 claim

In 2020 Burger Boutique advertised organic grass-fed beef, a “Zap it” menu of lighter, lower-oil burgers, and packaging made from 100% recycled paper. Gulf News reported all three for the Riyadh branches on 18 May 2020. No current menu repeats them. If the beef matters to you, ask.

Burger Boutique Jeddah opening hours

Burger Boutique Jeddah’s opening hours are unsettled: when I checked on 8 October 2026, two sources gave different schedules.

Source Weekdays Weekends
Gastronomica (official site) 12 PM–1 AM 12 PM–2 AM
DestinationKSA (Aug 2025) Sun–Wed, 5 PM–12 AM Thu–Sat, 5 PM–1 AM

Burger Boutique Jeddah opening hours compared: Gastronomica lists 12 PM–1 AM weekdays and 12 PM–2 AM weekends; DestinationKSA (Aug 2025) lists 5 PM–12 AM Sun–Wed and 5 PM–1 AM Thu–Sat (Table: Burger Breton, from Gastronomica and DestinationKSA)

I would trust the official schedule first, but it may be out of date. Call +966 53 505 5201 or check the brand’s Instagram (@burgerboutique) before you drive over.

Where Burger Boutique fits in Jeddah’s gourmet burger scene

Burger Boutique is an imported Kuwaiti pioneer in a Jeddah scene that local brands have since crowded. DestinationKSA’s August 2025 roundup puts it alongside Century Burger, Flat Burger, Lou Burger, MMMM Burger, NORA Burger, Score Eatery, Section B, SMPL Burger and WK Burger.

I have not eaten my way through that list side by side, so I will not call Burger Boutique the best burger in Jeddah. Its real claim is age. It was serving gourmet burgers in Kuwait in 2005, years before most of those names existed. That earns it a visit as a reference point. Whether it still leads is another question, and only a taste test can answer it. For the districts and the wider scene, start with our guide to the best burgers in Jeddah.

Burger Boutique in Riyadh: the award-shortlisted branch

Riyadh has two Burger Boutique branches, and the one at Riyadh Park made a design award shortlist. Rabih Geha Architects designed it with Gastronomica, and it was shortlisted at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2023 in the Alfresco & Biophilic Design category. That is Riyadh, not Jeddah. If you are travelling between the two cities, see our Riyadh burger guide.

How I researched this profile

I built this profile from dated sources, not a visit, and every one is listed below so you can check it. The brand’s own pages came first, then business media, then local food guides. Franchise marketing is labelled as such. Where two sources disagreed, I show both.

Still unconfirmed at the time of writing: who operates the Jeddah branch (Gastronomica or a Saudi partner), when it opened, the Solar Gravity’s Jeddah price and any halal certification.
