How much does Big Fernand Bordeaux cost?
Expect to spend €10 to €20 per person at Big Fernand Bordeaux, the range both Sluurpy and Restaurant Guru give. I could not get burger-by-burger prices for this branch: the delivery menus were not readable, and delivery prices are often marked up anyway. The closest reference point is the 2022 official menu quoted in my Toulouse guide, which put a burger at €13–13.50 and the Big Formule meal at €19–19.50. 4 years on, Bordeaux prices are unlikely to be lower, so check the board at the counter.

A “hamburgé” is Big Fernand’s own name for its burgers, built on baker’s bread, 100% French beef and raw-milk cheeses from a cheesemonger (official menu, Promenade Sainte-Catherine). The burgers carry old-fashioned French first names: Bartholomé, Victor, Gabin.
That sourcing is the real difference from a fast-food counter, and it explains why a meal here costs more than at the global giants. The seasonal specials push the same idea further. In December 2023, every Big Fernand in France served the Tartuffe: Charolais or Limousin beef, raw-milk Mont d’Or from cheesemonger Beillevaire, rocket and a truffle Frangine sauce, for that month only (Le Bonbon Bordeaux, 14 December 2023).

It sits on more than 1,500 reviews whichever count you take, while the Tripadvisor dip rests on about 200, many of them from tourists comparing it with a sit-down restaurant.

Big Fernand was founded in Paris in 2011 by Steve Burggraf, Alexandre Auriac and Guillaume Pagliano, and opened in Bordeaux on 26 April 2018. When Le Journal des Entreprises announced the opening, the network counted around 40 restaurants in France and already had a Gironde address in Arcachon, opened in 2016 (Le Journal des Entreprises, 16 April 2018).
