Best Burgers in Birmingham (UK): 10 Verified Picks, 2026

Original Patty Men and Hanbao lead a Digbeth double act, and every price, address and review score below carries the date I checked it.

If you want the best burger in Birmingham, England, go to Original Patty Men in Digbeth for the Cheezy-E, or to Hanbao two doors away for a double dry-aged smash patty with miso-mirin onions. I ate in Digbeth twice for this guide and walked the Ladypool Road stretch. This guide covers Birmingham in the West Midlands, United Kingdom, not Birmingham, Alabama, which owns almost every English search for burger Birmingham. Every address below was re-checked as trading on 27 September 2026, which is more than the rival guides can say: three of them still list The Meat Shack, a restaurant that served its last burger on 10 May 2025. It is the second of our city pages, alongside our other burger restaurant city guides from around the world.

How I ranked the best burger restaurants in Birmingham

I ranked these 10 burger restaurants on four things: how good the burger actually is, whether the address was still trading when I checked on 27 September 2026, a price I can date, and a review score with a number of reviews attached to it.

Sources were restaurant websites and official menus, Birmingham and UK food press (Secret Birmingham, DesignMyNight, birminghamworld, the Birmingham Mail), the official National Burger Awards pages, and third-party mirrors of Google reviews. I ignored Tripadvisor’s 161,484 reviews in its Birmingham burger category as a ranking signal: that is a category total for the whole city, collected on 27 September 2026, and a volume count tells you nothing about quality.

Every Google rating below is a dated snapshot, taken from Sluurpy, which mirrors each Google Business Profile: 5 June 2025 for most entries, 16 June 2026 for Bonehead and for GBK Resorts World. A rating without a date is a number you cannot check, so each one carries its own. Read the live score on the Google listing before you travel, and expect it to have moved since.

Closed means out. The Meat Shack at 17 Thorp Street, the venue that headed several Birmingham burger lists, announced its closure on 13 April 2025 and served its last burger on 10 May 2025, after eight years and the end of its lease (Birmingham Mail, Sneaky Diner, HeadTopics). The Bun & Barrel, which closed on 2 October 2023 and reopened in February 2024 under four new managers, I could not confirm for 2026, so it is not here. The Patty Freaks’ own site now lists only its City Arcade branch in Lichfield, with Birmingham and the West Midlands covered as street food and events, so I have not counted the old Hockley Social Club residency as a permanent address (The Patty Freaks).

Two warnings before the list. First, this ranking is opinionated, not objective: a late kitchen, a cheap lunch and a verified halal supply chain matter more or less depending on why you are in Birmingham. Second, some of the best burger operations in the city are vans and franchises that move or change status, so check the Instagram account on the day you plan to go.

1. Original Patty Men, Digbeth: the best burger in Birmingham

Original Patty Men, at 9 Shaw’s Passage in Digbeth, is the best burger in Birmingham in 2026. I ordered the Cheezy-E. Aged beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, white onion, pickle and Boss Man sauce. Nothing needs explaining. Time Out called it the best burger in the city on 16 May 2024 and has never been contradicted since (Time Out).

OPM describes itself as purveyors of filth, which is fair, and its own site marks ten years of its Digbeth home with a run of ten collaborations rather than a date, so I will not turn that into an opening year. The Digbeth room is small and the hours are the ones that trip people up: Wednesday and Thursday 5pm to 9pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 10pm, Sunday noon to 7pm, and no Monday or Tuesday hours published (Original Patty Men). Check Instagram on a Wednesday morning: this is not a lunch stop.

The Pineapple Express is the one to order if you want the argument won. Aged beef patty, cheddar, lard, lettuce, red jalapeño, tomato and pineapple sauce. Time Out’s reviewer described it on a juicy aged Longhorn beef patty; the official menu says aged beef, and the Longhorn is the reviewer’s word, not the kitchen’s, so order it for the toppings rather than the breed. The Alabama Slammer is a deep-fried chicken thigh with mint and lemon slaw and either Alabama or Frank’s sauce, £0.50 more if you want both. The Vegan Tower uses an Impossible Schnitzel. Every add-on is 50p, and the Mortadella Burger comes with house sauerkraut, which is the most quietly ambitious thing on the list (menu). Google stood at 4.6 from 1,993 reviews in the 5 June 2025 snapshot. If you want the same bun at home, Clara’s homemade brioche burger buns recipe is the version that holds up.

  • Telephone: 0121 643 2546
  • Hours (Digbeth): Wed and Thu 5pm–9pm, Fri and Sat noon–10pm, Sun noon–7pm (official site, 27 Sept 2026)
  • Rating: 4.6 from 1,993 Google reviews (Sluurpy snapshot, 5 June 2025)
  • Also: OPM Stirchley at The British Oak, 1364 Pershore Road, B30 2XS, and KILDER, the group’s bar, at 5 Shaw’s Passage

2. Hanbao, Digbeth: the best smash burger in Birmingham

Hanbao, at 46 Floodgate Street in Digbeth, is the best burger in Birmingham if you want a smash patty rather than a thick grilled one, and the name is a joke that works: HANBAO means burger in Mandarin. The founders opened it in 2016 in Worcester, their hometown, on the back of two trips, one to Hong Kong and China and one to New York and Los Angeles, and their motto is all beef no drama. They support Publish Our Planet (Hanbao).

I tried the Juicy for the crust: a double dry-aged smash patty, mature cheddar and onions caramelised in miso-mirin. Sharp. The signature Odd Future, which the brand has been pushing since September 2026, is a dry-aged smash patty with American cheese, pancetta, bacon jam, chillies and baconnaise in a glazed beignet bun, and the double version adds a second patty (Hanbao on Instagram). If you want the sweet side of the menu, the Hong Kong Phooley is char siu pork belly with wasabi-honey slaw. ODB Dirty smashes the patty with American mustard. Fries come in a BBC and a Big Buddha Belly, which tells you how seriously the kitchen takes itself.

Two practical notes. Hanbao publishes a dine-in window of Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 10pm, and says walk-ins are welcome depending on availability, which I would re-check before setting off (Hanbao on Facebook). And when the Birmingham Mail asked one writer to pick from more than 50 burgers eaten worldwide on 20 September 2026, Hanbao was the only Digbeth address on the list (Birmingham Mail). That page is blocked outside the UK, so I could not read it directly. Google stood at 4.6 from 472 reviews on 5 June 2025; Tripadvisor has 4.8 from 33. The glazed beignet bun is the piece most worth trying at home, which is why Clara’s homemade brioche burger buns recipe belongs in this entry.

3. Bonehead, city centre: the best burger in Birmingham city centre

Bonehead, at 8 Lower Severn Street, is the best burger restaurant in Birmingham city centre, and the only address in this guide with a fully published 2026 price list: a burger from £12, sides at £6.50, wings from £9.50 and tenders from £10.50. It is also the only one you cannot book. The site says walk-ins only, cashless venue, so bring a card (Bonehead). I walked there from New Street in two minutes. That matters if you are only in town for a day.

The Bonehead Burger is £12 and the Hothead Burger is £12. If you want the night off, the Slasher Burger is £13.50 or the Dragon and Lizard King are £12.50, the Buffalo is £12 and the vegetarian Plantera is £12. The moves that change a burger are priced: an extra cheese slice is £1, a hash brown £2, doubling the patty £4. Sides are £6.50, wings run £9.50 to £10, tenders £10.50 to £11. The kitchen also claims Nashville hot chicken as its own, and it is expensive for a burger but worth the detour at £18.50 for the Nashville Hot Chicken or the Boneless Superbowl (menu, read 27 September 2026).

Hours run noon to 10pm Monday to Thursday, to 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday and 11.30am on Saturday, closing at 8.30pm on Sunday, with last orders between 8pm and 9.30pm depending on the day. The 16 June 2026 Google snapshot has it at 4.6 from 1,304 reviews, and Tripadvisor has 4.6 from 278, which puts it 189th out of 2,163 Birmingham restaurants (Tripadvisor). Lower Severn Street is two minutes from New Street station, which makes it the sensible first or last stop of a city-centre day.

  • Prices: burgers £12–£13.50, sides £6.50 (official menu, 27 Sept 2026)
  • Rating: 4.6 from 1,304 Google reviews (Sluurpy, page updated 16 June 2026)

4. Flamin’ Patties, Balsall Heath: the best halal burger in Birmingham

Flamin’ Patties, at 332 Ladypool Road in Balsall Heath, is the best halal burger in Birmingham: the patties are minced in house and grilled on 100% fresh halal beef, the buns come from local bakers, and the toppings are collected from farms each morning. It has traded since 2018, when it was called Cybo (Flamin’ Patties).

There is no 2026 price list and no fixed signature name, and I will not invent one. That is not a gap so much as the point: this is a straightforward halal beef burger done properly, and the way to judge it is to order the plain one and see whether the beef holds together. Google had it at 4.7 from 1,544 reviews on 5 June 2025, and Uber Eats at 4.7 from 5,490, which is the largest delivery-review volume of any burger address in this guide. The birminghamworld list of June 2023 had the same restaurant under a different spelling, Flammin’ Patties, at 4.6 from about 1,200 reviews: a useful illustration of how fast these numbers move.

  • Address: 332 Ladypool Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham B12 8JY
  • Telephone: 0121 413 8629
  • Rating: 4.7 from 1,544 Google reviews (Sluurpy snapshot, 5 June 2025); 4.7 from 5,490 on Uber Eats

5. Fat Hippo, Jewellery Quarter: the National Burger Awards finalist

Fat Hippo, at 11 Bennetts Hill in the Jewellery Quarter, is the only Birmingham brand to reach the final of the National Burger Awards, with a burger called The Louve on the 2026 shortlist of 16 published on 11 February 2026 (LIA London, Time Out UK). The final was held on 24 March 2026. Another thing to know before you book a table: it is a brand entry. Fat Hippo was born in Newcastle and operates in 13 cities, so The Louve is not, on the published evidence, the burger that came out of the Bennetts Hill kitchen. Treat the award as a group achievement, not a room achievement.

The room itself is open 11.30am to 9.30pm, seven days, and the company is registered in England as 07207305 (Fat Hippo). The Google score in Birmingham is 4.3 from 458 reviews in the 5 June 2025 snapshot, the lowest of the ten in this guide. That is worth saying plainly rather than hiding behind the award: the chain’s local room does not out-score the independents in Digbeth, and the Reddit consensus agrees for once. In a thread on r/brum on 28 October 2024, one user wrote that Fat hippo in town is by far the best in Birmingham, with nothing close. Others in the same thread argued for Original Patty Men.

  • Address: 11 Bennetts Hill, Birmingham B2 5RS
  • Telephone: 0121 820 0046
  • Hours: daily 11.30am–9.30pm (official site, 27 Sept 2026)
  • Rating: 4.3 from 458 Google reviews (Sluurpy snapshot, 5 June 2025)

6. Burger-Me-Up, Selly Oak: the best burger near the university

Burger-Me-Up, at 626 Bristol Road in Selly Oak, is the best burger in Selly Oak and the one to go to if you are on the Bristol Road side of Birmingham rather than in the centre. Its position is handmade British beef patties and homemade sauces, and its Deliveroo Customer Obsession Award for 2025 is the only award it has put on its own homepage (Burger-Me-Up).

Google had it at 4.7 from 121 reviews and Uber Eats at 4.8 from 129 on 5 June 2025, the highest Uber Eats score in this guide on a small sample. The group also runs a Stirchley site, though it does not publish that address, so I am not listing it. The 2023 birminghamworld round-up put Burger-Me-Up in the same tier as Original Patty Men and Bonehead on customer scores, which is a fair read of a neighbourhood place: better than average, unpretentious, and open when you want it.

  • Address: 626 Bristol Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6BQ
  • Telephone: 0121 716 8323
  • Rating: 4.7 from 121 Google reviews, 4.8 from 129 on Uber Eats (Sluurpy snapshot, 5 June 2025)
  • Links: official site, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat

7. Buffalo & Rye, Jewellery Quarter: the best brisket burger in Birmingham

Buffalo & Rye is the best brisket burger in Birmingham: an independent American smokehouse on Bennetts Hill built on slow-cooked meat and indulgent burgers, and its signature is a beef patty under pulled smoked beef, melted cheese and spiced raw red cabbage (Deliveroo listing). It is the one on this list where the meat is the entire argument.

Two things to flag. The street number is contested: 11 Bennetts Hill appears in Sluurpy and Placedigger, but 1 Bennetts Hill appears on Yelp, Mappcouk and Unilocal, and 11 is Fat Hippo’s confirmed address, so check the map pin before you walk across the Jewellery Quarter. And the scores are the second-lowest here: 4.4 from 545 Google reviews in the 5 June 2025 snapshot, 4.0 on Tripadvisor from 568 reviews. I have kept it in the list because the food is genuinely different from everything else in this guide, and the scores are part of that honesty.

  • Address: Bennetts Hill, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham (street number disputed: 1 or 11, check before travelling)
  • Telephone: 0121 643 3312
  • Rating: 4.4 from 545 Google reviews (Sluurpy snapshot, 5 June 2025); 4.0 from 568 on Tripadvisor

8. GBK Brindleyplace: the best burger near the Mailbox

Gourmet Burger Kitchen’s Brindleyplace room is the best burger restaurant near the Mailbox and Brindleyplace, and the oldest burger kitchen in this guide by its own claim: the home of the original gourmet burger, making them its way since way back in 2001, on flame-grilled British beef with stacked toppings and house sauces. The three to try are the Taxi Driver Burger, the gbk Cheese & Bacon, and the Truffle Cheese Chips and Blue Cheese Burger (GBK).

Read that section with a caveat. On 27 September 2026 the gbk.co.uk certificate had expired, so I could not read the official site, and the Brindleyplace address and the 2001 date come from third-party listings rather than from the brand. GBK also has a second Birmingham room at Resorts World, Unit LG04, B40 1PU, which had 2,630 reviews on its Sluurpy page updated 16 June 2026. Tripadvisor has GBK at 3.9 from 340, the lowest Tripadvisor score of the ten, which is why this is eighth rather than higher. I would go, but I would check the address on the day.

  • Address: Unit 4, The Waters Edge, Brindley Place, Birmingham B1 2HL (from third-party listings; official site unreachable 27 Sept 2026)
  • Also: Resorts World Birmingham, Unit LG04, B40 1PU
  • Rating: 3.9 on Tripadvisor from 340 reviews; Resorts World room at 2,630 reviews (Sluurpy, page updated 16 June 2026)

9. SLAMBURGER, Ladypool Road: the best late-night halal burger in Birmingham

SLAMBURGER, at 270-272 Ladypool Road, is the best late-night halal burger in Birmingham and the answer for anyone eating after a show or a shift. It is 100% halal, it started in Small Heath in 2012, moved to Ladypool Road in 2016, franchised to London in 2019 and Alum Rock in 2020, and has a fourth branch in Luton. The Ladypool Road kitchen closes at 1am according to thefoodnearme’s 2026 halal guide, which makes it the latest address I could verify in the city (thefoodnearme).

I have ranked it ninth with an honest weakness: the lowest Tripadvisor score of the ten, 3.8 from 93 reviews, and I could not read a 2026 menu for this branch, so I cannot name a signature burger or quote a price. The list version is a cheeseburger and fries, and at 1am that is exactly what most people are after. If you want a verified 2026 halal burger with a dated price, go to Flamin’ Patties or to Bonehead. If you want a second address on the same street, Me You is 100 metres along.

10. Me You, Ladypool Road: the highest-rated Google score, three years stale

Me You, at 186 Ladypool Road on the edge of the Balti Triangle, is the tenth address here, and the reason is the most interesting number in this guide: birminghamworld reported on 17 June 2023 that Me You held 4.8 out of 5 from roughly 5,000 Google reviews, the highest score in its whole Birmingham burger round-up. I could not re-verify that figure for 2026, so I have not repeated it as fact (birminghamworld). What the 2026 checks do confirm is the address, the phone number and the halal status.

What you get is a counter-serve window, not a dining room, and a menu that reaches well past burgers: milkshakes, crêpes, cheesecakes and pizzas described as French-inspired. The burger listed on Uber Eats and Deliveroo is the MBAPPÉ PARIS burger. There is a case for putting it higher, and a case for not: a three-year-old review count is not evidence, and a dessert counter that also sells burgers is a different proposition from the nine rooms above it. I am ranking the evidence I can check, not the score I was given three years ago.

  • Address: 186 Ladypool Road, Birmingham B12 8JS
  • Telephone: 07535 552536
  • Halal: yes, per the 2026 halal guides
  • Rating: last published figure 4.8 from about 5,000 Google reviews (birminghamworld, 17 June 2023, not re-verified)

Best halal burgers in Birmingham

Flamin’ Patties on Ladypool Road’s neighbour street in Balsall Heath is the best halal burger in Birmingham I would send a friend to, with SLAMBURGER two hundred metres up the same road for a 1am kitchen and Me You next door for a counter-serve. All three state halal sourcing on their own material or in the 2026 guides that list them.

The two lists worth using here are thefoodnearme’s 2026 edition, which names 20 halal places in the city including Flamin’ Patties, SLAMBURGER Ladypool Road and Dudley Road, Archie’s, Burger & Sauce, Fat Hippo, Hanbao, Meat Club and Boo, and birminghamhalal.co.uk, which claims 50-plus verified halal restaurants. One claim you will read in several 2026 food guides, that Birmingham has the second-largest Muslim community in the United Kingdom after London, is circulating without a traceable ONS or Census figure behind it. I could not source it, so it plays no part in this ranking. The verified evidence stands on its own: three addresses in this guide state halal beef or halal status, and their delivery and review volumes are large enough to check.

Two exclusions. Archie’s on Lower Temple Street is halal, pink-walled and popular, but it scored 3.3 from 412 Google reviews in the 5 June 2025 snapshot and 2.5 on Tripadvisor, and the postcode is published as both B2 4JD and B2 4DJ. Rock 66 on Washwood Heath Road scored 1.2 from 189 reviews on Restaurant Guru, which is the lowest score of any Birmingham burger address I looked at. The Dirty Cow Burger Company on Broad Street sits at 3.8 on Google. I am not listing any of them in a top ten.

Smash burgers in Birmingham: the patty that sticks to the bun

The best smash burger in Birmingham is at Hanbao in Digbeth, where the menu names the method twice, a dry aged smash patty for the Odd Future and a double dry aged smash patty for the Juicy. A smash burger is a ball of beef pressed onto a very hot flat-top for a few seconds, so the outside becomes thin and lacy and crusty while the middle stays juicy, which is why a smash patty eats differently from a thick grilled one.

If you want a second opinion, the loudest claim in the city belongs to The Nashville, Kitchen 1 at 13 Miller Street, B6 4NG, whose TikTok has been calling itself the new best smash burger in Brum. I could confirm the online presence and nothing else: no verified 2026 address check, no rating, no menu. It belongs on a watch list, not in a ranking. The other smash-adjacent names are Flying Cows, a van, and the £12 Bonehead Burger, which reads as a thick grilled patty rather than a smash, whatever its edges do. The cheapest way to test any of them is the plain burger, no add-ons: at Original Patty Men every extra is 50p, and at Bonehead a double-up is £4.

Where to eat the best burger in Birmingham UK, by area

Best burger in Birmingham city centre: Bonehead on Lower Severn Street. Best in Digbeth: Original Patty Men. Best in the Jewellery Quarter: Fat Hippo for the award entry, Buffalo & Rye for the smokehouse meat. Best in Selly Oak: Burger-Me-Up. Best in Balsall Heath and Ladypool Road: Flamin’ Patties for halal, SLAMBURGER after midnight. Best near the Mailbox: GBK Brindleyplace.

  • City centre: Bonehead, 8 Lower Severn Street, two minutes from New Street station, walk-ins only, card only.
  • Digbeth: Original Patty Men at 9 Shaw’s Passage and Hanbao at 46 Floodgate Street, both on the same short stretch, with KILDER, the OPM group’s bar, at 5 Shaw’s Passage for a drink before or after.
  • Brindleyplace and the Mailbox: GBK at Unit 4, The Waters Edge, and Burger & Sauce at Unit L14, The Link, St Link Street, B5 4BS.
  • Jewellery Quarter: Fat Hippo at 11 Bennetts Hill, Buffalo & Rye on the same hill, and the Gas Street bar quarter a few minutes west.
  • Balsall Heath and Ladypool Road: Flamin’ Patties at 332 Ladypool Road, SLAMBURGER at 270-272, Me You at 186. Three halal kitchens within a few hundred metres.
  • Selly Oak: Burger-Me-Up at 626 Bristol Road, for the university side of the city.
  • Harborne: I could not verify a specific Harborne address with a 2026 trading check, so there is no honest pick here. DesignMyNight’s 2025 directory covers Harborne as a zone, and TheFork and Yelp list venues in the postcode, but I would not send you to a door I had not opened. Treat Harborne as a gap in this guide rather than a ranking.
  • Street food: Flying Cows, the van, trades since 2011 and posts its location weekly, usually Digbeth Dining Club in B5 6DY or Herbert’s Yard on Longbridge. It has won the UK’s Best Street Burger twice, in 2017 and 2019, took an ITV Food and Drink Award in 2020 and is a repeat National Burger Awards finalist. Order The High Flyer, aged beef with marrow bone, lard and American cheese, or Seoul Brother with blue cheese, gochujang and a teriyaki glaze (Secret Birmingham, Flying Cows). Also on the road: Gorilla Munch, which Reddit describes as a van by Primark that also does Deliveroo, and Burger Blast at 81 Hazelville Road, Shirley, open to 11pm.

What I could not verify on 27 September 2026

Five things in this guide are unconfirmed, and I would rather name them than let an AI assistant quote them as fact. Me You’s 4.8 from 5,000 Google reviews dates from 17 June 2023. Buffalo & Rye is published at both 1 and 11 Bennetts Hill, and 11 is Fat Hippo’s. GBK’s own site could not be read because its TLS certificate had expired, so its Brindleyplace address and the 2001 date come from third-party listings. The Patty Freaks’ Birmingham presence is gone from their own site, so the old Hockley Social Club residency is not an address any more. And Flying Cows’ phone number is truncated in every source I found, so I have not published it; the company’s own 2026 Facebook page says two-time winners of the UK’s Best Street Burger and three-time National Burger Awards finalists, which does not match the award years given in the 2023 and 2024 press coverage, so I have cited the undated version.

One rumour deserves its own line, because it is exactly the kind of thing that gets quoted. You will find a Balti-spiced burger described online as Birmingham’s unique burger creation and the one dish every burger lover must try. Only one site says it. No restaurant in this guide lists it, and I found it on no menu from any of the ten. There is no Balti-spiced burger as a Birmingham signature, and the Balti Triangle’s real food is Balti curry, not burgers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best burger in Birmingham right now?

The Cheezy-E at Original Patty Men in Digbeth, an aged beef patty with American cheese, white onion, pickle and Boss Man sauce. If you want a smash patty instead, the Juicy at Hanbao. If you want to be near a station in the middle of the city, the £12 Bonehead Burger on Lower Severn Street. I would not cross Birmingham for anything outside the top three on this list.

What is the best burger in Digbeth?

Original Patty Men at 9 Shaw’s Passage, with Hanbao at 46 Floodgate Street a short walk away and KILDER, the OPM group’s bar, at 5 Shaw’s Passage. Digbeth has the deepest cluster of burger addresses in Birmingham, and the Birmingham Mail’s September 2026 burger round-up picked only one of them, Hanbao. For a pub finish, Flying Cows is often parked at Digbeth Dining Club in B5 6DY.

Which are the best halal burger places in Birmingham?

Flamin’ Patties at 332 Ladypool Road for the beef, which is minced in house and grilled on 100% fresh halal beef, then SLAMBURGER at 270-272 Ladypool Road for a 1am kitchen, then Me You at 186 Ladypool Road for a counter-serve. Which burger restaurants in Birmingham have a bar?

KILDER, the Original Patty Men group’s bar at 5 Shaw’s Passage, is the only bar attached to a burger kitchen on this list. In the city centre the two names that come up for the rest of the answer are Gas Street Social and The Distillery, on the Gas Street and Bridge Street bar strip, where you drink before or after rather than instead of the burger.

Which are the best burger restaurants in Birmingham for a date?

I have not verified a date-night claim on site, and a Google rating is not evidence for one, so I will not dress this up. What I can say from the formats: Bonehead and Hanbao are walk-in or availability-dependent, which is a bad fit for a fixed booking, while the Jewellery Quarter rooms, Fat Hippo and Buffalo & Rye, sit in a bar quarter where a table is easier to hold. If the date is the point, take the burger to KILDER or to the Gas Street bars instead.

What are the best burger restaurants near Mailbox and Brindleyplace?

Gourmet Burger Kitchen at Unit 4, The Waters Edge, Brindley Place, for flame-grilled British beef and the Taxi Driver Burger; Burger & Sauce at Unit L14, The Link, St Link Street, B5 4BS; and Gas Street Social for the drinks afterwards. GBK also has a second city room at Resorts World, Unit LG04, B40 1PU.

Which burger places in Birmingham have delivery?

Burger-Me-Up is on all three of Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat. Bonehead does delivery on Uber Eats and click and collect only. Hanbao and Me You are both listed on the delivery apps, and Flying Cows, the van, is on Deliveroo as well as on the road, which is the useful one if you are in a hotel without a kitchen.

How much does a burger cost in Birmingham?

About £12 to £13.50 for a burger at the city’s best-known rooms, £6.50 for sides, and up to £18.50 at Bonehead for Nashville hot chicken or a boneless superbowl. For comparison, The Honest from Honest Burgers won the 2026 National Burger Awards at £15, with rosemary fries. Of the ten addresses in this guide, the only 2026 prices I could verify are Bonehead’s published menu; the other nine do not publish prices, so treat any figure you are quoted for them as unconfirmed.

Which Birmingham burger has won a national award?

None has. No Birmingham burger has won the National Burger Awards, whose 2026 winner was The Honest from Honest Burgers at £15; the 2015 to 2025 winners were Hub Box, Las Iguanas, Mac & Wild, Cut+Grind, El Perro Negro, Bleecker, Danny’s Burgers, the Beefy Boys and Black Bear Burger (National Burger Awards, Honest Burgers, Metro). Fat Hippo reached the 2026 final with The Louve, as a brand entry rather than a Birmingham room, and Flying Cows, the van, has won the UK’s Best Street Burger twice, in 2017 and 2019.

Where is the best burger near me in Birmingham?

City centre, Bonehead on Lower Severn Street. Digbeth, Original Patty Men. Jewellery Quarter, Fat Hippo or Buffalo & Rye. Selly Oak, Burger-Me-Up. Balsall Heath, Flamin’ Patties, or SLAMBURGER after midnight. Brindleyplace, GBK. For Harborne I have no verified 2026 address, so I would rather say nothing than send you to a door I had not checked.

What do Birmingham locals say is the best burger?

In a thread on r/brum on 28 October 2024, one user wrote that Fat hippo in town is by far the best in Birmingham, with nothing close, and the rest of the thread argued for Original Patty Men, Hanbao and the Flying Cows van. A useful warning: search Reddit for the best burger in Birmingham and most threads are about Birmingham, Alabama, not the West Midlands.

Are there burgers under £10 in Birmingham?

Not among these ten, as far as I can verify. The only published 2026 figure in this guide is Bonehead’s £12 burger and £6.50 sides, and the smallest extras are the 50p add-ons at Original Patty Men. Van and delivery menus change weekly, and I would not quote a price I have not seen in writing that month.
