Eikestad Mall’s street address is 43 Andringa Street. According to LekkeSlaap, it has more than 100 shops, including Woolworths, Checkers and Game, plus covered parking and 24-hour security. The mall’s own line is +27 21 886 6267.
The name comes from the town itself. Stellenbosch, founded in 1679, is known as Eikestad, the “city of oaks”. It is also where pinotage was born in 1925, and it sits about 50 km (31 miles) from Cape Town.

Older listings disagree: the old Eat Out page gave 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. I went with the official hours. I found no public holiday hours, so call 021 883 2272 before a holiday visit.

There is also a “Make Your Own” option, starting from a 150 g smashed beef or chicken patty, and a Southern Fried Chicken Burger at R69. On October 9, 2026 the limited editions were The King Pin (R119), The Top Don (R69) and Head Honcho (R82).

Fries come shoestring or crinkle-cut. The old Eat Out listing said the smash fries get a secret seasoning blend.
Drinks and kids’ menu
Milkshakes, called G-Shakes, cost R50. A 300 ml soda is R27 to R35, juices R33 to R35, a Red Bull R45 and water R27. The “Kid Rock” menu for under-12s comes with fries and costs R57 to R79.
Vegetarian and halal options
The only vegetarian dishes I could confirm on the 2026 South African menu are the Chopped Green Salad (R40) and the Spicy Slaw (R45).
That is thin. The old Eat Out listing mentioned a veggie patty, but I could not find its current name or price on the national menu. RocoMamas does run a halaal menu at brand level, yet nothing I found confirms that the Stellenbosch branch is halaal certified, so ask before you order.

Methodology: I did not read these ratings on Google or TripAdvisor directly. TripAdvisor blocked access and Google was not checked. The figures above are what the aggregators showed on October 9, 2026. Restaurant Guru ranks the branch 174th of 331 Stellenbosch restaurants.

Four things come up again and again: friendly, responsive staff, the smash burgers, the spicy Mofo wings and the ribs. Many reviewers also mention good value, helped by promotions such as Triple Treat.
What reviewers criticise
The complaints are just as consistent. Some dishes come out too salty, service drags at peak times, and orders or bills are sometimes wrong. A few reviewers also mention poor ventilation.
My read: the food earns the 4.3, not the service. Order the smash burgers and the wings, skip the dinner rush if you are short on time, and check your bill before you pay.

Aggregators list delivery, takeout, card payments, outdoor seating, Wi-Fi, reservations, wheelchair access and beer at RocoMamas Stellenbosch, but no official source confirms them.
Restaurant Guru and the old Eat Out listing report these services, and Eat Out named Amex, Mastercard and Visa. The official page mentions online ordering without details for this branch. I could not confirm that the restaurant is on Uber Eats or Mr D today.
Stellenbosch does have RocoMamas delivery history. In December 2017, an Uber Eats campaign had rapper Jack Parow deliver RocoMamas orders in town for two hours, according to Ads of the World. RocoMamas in South Africa: the chain that brought the smash burger home
RocoMamas is a South African burger chain founded in July 2013 in Johannesburg by Brian Altriche, and it built its name on the smash burger.
Altriche had run a Spur franchise for 12 years and was the first Ocean Basket franchisee in 1996. He lived in Los Angeles in the late 1980s and early 1990s and brought the smash burger idea back from the US, according to News24 and BusinessLIVE.
On January 21, 2015, JSE-listed Spur Corporation announced it was buying 51% of RocoMamas, which then had four restaurants in greater Johannesburg and three in the pipeline, as News24 reported. Today the brand says it has more than 100 restaurants. Spur opened five more in South Africa in the half-year to December 2025, according to TimesLIVE.
The brand calls itself “not normal”. Simbisa Brands describes funky decor, a rock’n’roll mood, an open kitchen, customisable burgers, smashed patties, Mofo wings and ribs.
Is RocoMamas Stellenbosch worth it?
Yes, if you want a quick, filling smash burger in central Stellenbosch for under R130 and don’t mind mall-chain atmosphere.
