Five Guys Oxford is at 13-15 Magdalen Street, Oxford OX1 3AE, on the corner of Friars Entry in the city centre, and it is the only Five Guys in Oxfordshire. Apple Maps and Wanderlog give its hours as 10am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to midnight on Friday and Saturday; the phone number is 01865 595563. On Google it holds 4.2/5 from 2,004 reviews (via Wanderlog). Worth the stop? Yes, if you want a burger built exactly your way, five minutes from the coach station. Just don’t expect a bargain: price is the complaint that keeps coming back. I checked every fact below on 18 October 2026.
Not this Oxford? Searches often mix up three places. This guide covers Oxford, England (OX1 3AE). It is not the Five Guys in Oxford, Mississippi (2153 West Jackson Ave), and it is not Five Guys at Oxford Circus or on Oxford Street in London.

Five Guys Magdalen Street: address and how to find it
Five Guys Oxford sits on the ground floor of Oxenford House, 13-15 Magdalen Street, at the corner of Friars Entry. Magdalen Street is the northern continuation of Cornmarket Street, where it meets Broad Street and George Street, according to Wikipedia.

The easiest landmarks are the Martyrs’ Memorial, St Mary Magdalen church and the Randolph Hotel on the corner of Beaumont Street. Older reviews place the restaurant “next to the Odeon”. Ignore that: the Magdalen Street Odeon closed for good in 2021, as Cherwell reported.

Getting there from Oxford station and Gloucester Green
From Oxford railway station, walk to Gloucester Green, then take Friars Entry to Magdalen Street. Gloucester Green, Oxford’s coach and bus station, is about 500 m from the railway station, and Friars Entry links it straight to the restaurant’s corner, according to The Oxford Student and Wikipedia. Arriving by coach from London or the airports, you pass it on your way into town.

Parking near Five Guys Oxford
The nearest car park I could find is under Gloucester Green, with about 100 spaces, per Wikipedia. Five Guys lists no parking of its own. Oxford’s centre is compact, and I would walk from the station rather than drive in.
Five Guys Oxford opening hours
Five Guys Oxford opens at 10am every day and closes at 10pm Sunday to Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday, according to Apple Maps and Wanderlog, which agree. Apple Maps puts last delivery orders at 9:55pm and 11:55pm.
| Day | Hours (Apple Maps, Wanderlog) | Last delivery (Apple Maps) |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 10:00–22:00 | 21:55 |
| Tuesday | 10:00–22:00 | 21:55 |
| Wednesday | 10:00–22:00 | 21:55 |
| Thursday | 10:00–22:00 | 21:55 |
| Friday | 10:00–00:00 | 23:55 |
| Saturday | 10:00–00:00 | 23:55 |
| Sunday | 10:00–22:00 | 21:55 |
One caveat. The official Five Guys page does not show hours without JavaScript, so I could not confirm them there on 18 October 2026, and an older Daily Info listing gives different times (11am–11pm Monday to Saturday, 11am–10pm Sunday). Heading over late? Call 01865 595563 or check the Five Guys app first.
Five Guys Oxford menu and prices
Five Guys Oxford serves the standard Five Guys UK menu: burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, breakfast, fries, milkshakes and Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper drinks, with free toppings on every burger. The official UK menu is the same one I covered in London and Leeds.
- Burgers and hot dogs: the core of the menu, each built to order with your choice of toppings.
- Sandwiches and breakfast: listed on the UK menu.
- Fries: hand-cut every day and cooked in 100% refined peanut oil.
- Milkshakes: a vanilla base with mix-ins, including an M&M’S Shake.
- Drinks: Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper ranges.
- Kids’ meal: a hamburger, hot dog or grilled cheese.
The Oxford page promises more than 250,000 topping combinations, no freezers and food cooked to order. That customisation is the reason to come. You decide exactly what goes on the burger, and the toppings cost nothing extra.

How much does a meal cost at Five Guys Oxford?
The only price Five Guys UK publishes is the kids’ meal, from £8 on the official menu checked on 18 October 2026. Our Leeds and Covent Garden guides recorded £7.50 in early October 2026, which points to a recent rise.
I could not verify in-store burger prices for Oxford. Delivery apps show prices, but they usually run higher than at the counter, and third-party “menu with prices” sites are neither official nor dated. For today’s price, open the Five Guys app or order.fiveguys.co.uk, select Oxford and build your order before paying. For the wider picture on fast-food pricing this year, read our analysis of the 2026 burger value wars between McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s.
Vegetarian options
The kids’ grilled cheese is the one meat-free main the official UK menu lists, and fries and shakes contain no meat. I could not confirm a Veggie Sandwich or alcohol on the Oxford menu from the official pages, so ask at the counter.

What reviewers like
Recurring praise on Wanderlog covers the customisation and free toppings, big portions, fast service, a clean dining room and friendly staff. One team member, Fabio, is named in several reviews.
A guest review on the Gourmet Gorro blog, published on 7 January 2026 by a primary school pupil, gave a double cheeseburger with ketchup and fries 9.9/10. It noted fresh, hand-formed patties, toasted buns, a clean red-and-white tiled dining room, self-serve drinks and quick service (Gourmet Gorro).
What reviewers criticise
Value is the main complaint: many reviewers find the prices high for what you get. Some parents also find the order-at-the-counter system awkward with young children, since there is no table service (Wanderlog).
Local press verdict
Local critics were warm but not won over. Bitten Oxford gave it 7/10 in an undated review from around its arrival, noting the free peanuts while you wait. The Oxford Times ran a 2017 piece titled “Why Five Guys is a young person’s game”; its summary describes a packed room, ordering at the counter and plenty of free toppings.
Is Five Guys Oxford worth it?
Five Guys Oxford is worth it if you want a burger built exactly your way in the city centre and you accept chain prices. The hygiene inspection was strong, service is fast and the corner is handy for both the station and the coach terminal.
My verdict rests on the ratings, the reviews and the official menu, not on a scored visit of my own. Come for the customisation and the hand-cut fries, and order one portion of fries for two: reviewers keep mentioning how big they are. If value matters most, go independent. In Oxford, my pick is Beefy Boys at the Westgate, a smash-burger alternative a short walk south. For the full picture, see our guide to the best burgers in Oxford city centre.
Delivery, Click & Collect and payment
Five Guys Oxford delivers through Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats, and offers Click & Collect, online ordering and the Five Guys app, according to its official page. Apple Maps lists last delivery orders at 9:55pm on weeknights and 11:55pm on Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant takes cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Regulars can join Five Guys Rewards, a loyalty card stored in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Food hygiene rating
Five Guys Oxford was rated “Very good” for food handling, cleanliness and condition of the premises, and food safety management at its Food Standards Agency inspection on 10 July 2026. Oxford City Council carried out the inspection. The FSA page I read did not display the 0–5 number, so I have not quoted one (FSA).
Halal and allergy information
Five Guys Oxford is not halal. The official halal information page lists three HCO-certified restaurants (Birmingham Fort, London Park Royal and Manchester Arndale) and 29 restaurants serving halal beef, and Oxford is on neither list. All other restaurants “are not Halal certified and do not serve Halal beef”.
With a peanut allergy, take care: Five Guys cooks its fries in 100% refined peanut oil, and Bitten Oxford reported free peanuts handed out while you wait. Check the official allergen information and speak to staff before ordering.
Accessibility
Apple Maps lists Five Guys Oxford as wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets, and as family-friendly. Five Guys does not confirm these details on its official page, so call 01865 595563 if access matters to your visit.
Five Guys in Oxford: a short history
Five Guys has been on Magdalen Street since 2017. In April 2017, Cherwell reported a change-of-use application for the ground floor of the former Jaeger shop on Magdalen Street, and named the burger places it would be up against: Byron, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, The Rickety Press, Shake Shack, McDonald’s and Burger King.
The building above it, Oxenford House, dates from 1965-1966. In February 2024, Oxford City Council approved turning its upper floors into 55 student rooms, with Five Guys staying on the ground floor, according to The Oxford Student and Cherwell.
The chain itself was founded in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia, by Jerry and Janie Murrell and their sons, and now claims close to 2,000 restaurants worldwide (Five Guys Our Story). It arrived in the UK on 4 July 2013 at 1-3 Long Acre, the branch I cover in our Five Guys London Covent Garden guide. For where it fits in the bigger story, read our history of the hamburger.
Make it at home
