Best Burgers in Medellín: Poblado and Laureles

The best burgers in Medellín are concentrated in two areas: El Poblado, especially the streets of Provenza and the blocks around Parque Lleras, and Laureles, along La 70 and the circular streets of its residential grid. Envigado, just south of the city, adds a more local crowd.

Medellín’s burgers sit next to a strong paisa food culture, the cooking of Antioquia, where the arepa and the bandeja paisa come first. The everyday benchmark is the comidas rápidas cart: a burger built tall, then finished with sauces and crushed potato crisps. At about 1,500 metres, the city is known as the City of Eternal Spring, and its mild weather keeps terraces open all year.
